Chick pea stir fry
Chick pea 1and ½ cup
Salt 1 teaspoon
Onion 3
Garlic 3
Green chilly 2
Chilly flakes 1and ½ teaspoon
Soak black chana in hot water for 3 hours
In a pressure cooker add soaked chana with water, 1 teaspoon oil and ½ teaspoon turmeric and cook till 1st whistle comes out. Lower flame for 15 minutes. And higher the flame and cook for the 2nd whistle. Switch off flame. Cool the pressure cooker for 10 minutes and open. Add salt and boil once. Strain the cooked chana.
In a hot pan add oil add mustard let it splutter add chopped onion, garlic, green chilly and sauté add chilly flakes, ¼ teaspoon salt and add cooked black chana without water and stir fry for 3 minutes and serve.
Note : You can use the cooked water of black chana with ½ cup cooked chana for to make potato with black chana curry.
