Green pea and cottage cheese curry
Cottage cheese/paneer curry is the favorite of north india. And is very tasty with meat masala preparation. It goes well with rice, roti, porata, naan. It is used as main dish
Ingredients
Green pea - 1 kg with shells
Tomato - 5
Cottage cheese/paneer - 250 gm
Onion - 1
Green chilly – 6Garlic – 5 cloves
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Jeera/cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 2 teaspoon
Garam masala - ½ teaspoon
Turmeric - ½ teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - ¼ teaspoon
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Preparation
Chop green chilly, garlic, onion, tomato
Slice cottage cheese in ½ inch cubes.
Remove the shells of green pea
And cook in a pressure cooker with sufficient water add salt and sugar and cook for 1 whistle.
Heat a pan add oil when it is hot add jeera/cumin seeds when it splutter
Add green chilly, garlic, onion sauté well
Lower flame add chilly powder, coriander, garam masala, turmeric and sauté
Add tomato and stir well and sauté
Add cottage cheese stir lightly
Cover and cook with water
And add cooked green peas with water. And give one boil
Cool 2 minute and serve
