Simple pigeon pea recipe
Split pigeon pea 250 gm
Tomato 1
Green chilly 4
Garlic 4
Onion1
Salt 1 teaspoon
Turmeric ¼ teaspoon
Chilly flakes 2 teaspoon
Chop onion, green chilly, garlic and tomato separately
Pressure cook tur dal with tomato and turmeric in sufficient water till 2 whistle. And open immediately other wise over cook. No need to soak. If soaking for 5 minutes 1 whistle is more to cook, not open immediately
In a pan heat oil, add chopped onion, garlic, green chilly and sauté, lower flame, add chilly flakes, turmeric, and sauté and add to the cooked dal in pressure cooker. Switch off flame and serve the dish.
