Tomato and tamarind chutney
Tamarind and tomato chutney is a very tasy dish. Only after preparation you will know how it tastes. You can store it in a bottle and keep in fridge. It can use as dip and spreads. It goes very well with rice and roti and with all main foods
Ingredients
Tamarind - lemon size
Tomato - 2 small medium
Onion - 2 small medium
Garlic - 4 cloves
Green chilly - 3
Chilly powder - 3 teaspoon
Salt - 1 teaspoon
Sugar - ½ teaspoon
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Preparation
Chop onion, green chilly, garlic, tomato
Soak tamarind in hot water for 15 minutes.
Smash and take pulp and sieve.
Heat oil in a pan add garlic, green chilly, onion sauté well
Add chilly powder and sauté
Add tomato and sauté 1 minute
Add 2 tablespoon of tamarind pulp and salt
Stir and cover for 2 minutes.
Smash the tomato well with spoon
And add the remaining tamarind pulp and boil well.
Cover and cook till it get a good gravy
Add sugar and stir well to dissolve.
Cool a little and serve.
