White chick pea curry with potato
Chickpea white also known as garbanzo beans, kabuli chana and is a tasty dish with potato and garam masala. Try this new recipe
Ingredients
Chick pea white/Kabuli chana - 100 gm
Potato - 3
Tomato - 4
Garlic - 4
Green chilly - 3
Oil - 2 tablespoon
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Cumin - 1 teaspoon
Onion - 1
Chilly powder - 2 teaspoon
Coriander powder - 3 teaspoon
Turmeric - ½ teaspoon
Garam masala - ½ teaspoon
Preparation
For soaking chick pea/ Kabuli chana
In a pressure cooker rinse the kabuli chana add water and boil and cover and leave for 3 hours
Add ½ teaspoon turmeric and 1 teaspoon oil and pressure cook chickpea up to 1 whistle
lower flame and cook for 15 minutes
Higher the flame and give a second whistle. Switch off flame and leave for 10 minutes
Slice potato into 1 cm cubes
Chop onion, garlic, green chilly
Heat oil in a pan heat well add mustard seeds and cumin seeds after spluttering add onion garlic green chilly and sauté
Add tomato and sauté for 5 minutes add chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala and sauté
Add potato and stir 1 minute add this to cooked chick pea and add sufficient water and cook up to 1 whistle. Cool for 10 minutes open and serve
