Red lentil and carrot curry
INGREDIENTS
Red masoor dal/red lentil - 150 gm
Carrot - 1
Tomato - 3
Green chilly - 5
Garlic - 4 cloves
Onion - 1
Chilly flakes - 1 and ½ teaspoon
Turmeric - ¼ teaspoon
Oil - 3 tablespoon
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
PREPARATION
Wash all vegetables 3 times separately.
Crush garlic cloves
chop onion
Slice all vegetables
Chop carrot 1 inch long
Chop tomato 1 inch slices
Slit green chilly in the centre and cut into 4 pieces
Wash masoor dal 3 times
Add red masoor, carrot, tomato, green chilly , turmeric and water in a pressure cooker.
And put it on flame, cook till 2 whistles come.
And wait for 20 minutes to cool and open the lid.
Heat a pan and add oil , and mustard seeds,
when it splutter add onion, garlic and sauté well
Add chilly flakes and sauté .
Add this to the cooked dal .
And serve in a serving dish.
