Semolina upma
Semolina is also known as rava, suji. People make very tasty dishes with semolina. Here is a dish for breakfast. Everyone will like it. Try this once.
Ingredients
Semolina - 500 gm/3and ½ cup
Water - 4 cup
Cabbage - 250 gm
Green pea - 50 gm deshelled
Carrot - 1
Palak/spinach - 100 gm
Onion - 3
Green chilly - 4
Tomato - 1
Garlic - 4 cloves
Chilly powder - ¼ teaspoon
Turmeric - ½ teaspoon
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Cumin - 1teaspoon
Oil - 30 ml/6 teaspoon
Preparation
Roast rava without oil to light brown.
Boil water in a sauce pan
Chop onion, garlic, green chilly
Chop cabbage and palak
Chop carrot into small cubes
Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds when it splutter
Add jeera when it splutter
Add carrot and green pea sauté 1 minute
Add onion garlic green chilly and sauté
Add turmeric chilly powder and salt
Add tomato and sauté 1 minute
Add cabbage palak sauté 1 minute
Lower flame add roasted semolina and mix well
Add hot water and boil
Lower flame cover and cook stir occasionaly, open and stir for 5 minutes and serve.
