Spinach with pigeon pea recipe is a very tasty dish. it is rich in vitamin A and protein. It goes well with rice and pappad and chutney and also with roti.

Ingredients
Split yellow pigeon pea - 100 gm
Spinach - 1 kg
Onion - 1
Greenchilly - 6
Garlic - 8 cloves
Tomato - 4
Chilly flakes - 1and ½ teaspoon
Turmeric - ½ teaspoon
Oil - 30ml
Mustard - 1 teaspoon
Preparation
Chop spinach, onion, green chilly, garlic, tomato separately
In a pressure cooker rinse pigeon pea and add 300 ml water, turmeric, salt and place lid and put on flame and till 1 whistle. Lower flame for 5 minutes and switch off leave for 10 minutes and open
Mean while take a larger skillet put on flame add oil, heat well add mustard when it splutter add onion, green chilly, garlic, and sauté light brown add chilly flakes, turmeric and sauté add tomato quickly and sauté 2 minutes add spinach and higher flame and stir 2 minutes cover and cook. Add cooked pigeon pea to spinach and mix well and cook for 5 minutes and serve.
